First Haircuts

Jon and I decided that both kids hair was looking a little shaggy, so while we were at the mall on Saturday, we thought we would go and get their hair cut. Miles hair was growing so fast that it was almost in his eyes and Kate had never had a haircut before and her hair was just growing on the sides but not really in the back. So we had them trim up each of the kiddos hair and they came out looking unbelievably cute!! I love their new do's, Kate looks so pretty and Miles looks like a little boy and not really a baby any more.

Kaitlyn's First Day of Preschool

Today was such a bitter sweet day for me, my baby girl started preschool. It was hard for me to drop her off but she just walked right in her class and started looking at all the toys. She is growing up too fast! She loved her school though and can't wait to go back again tomorrow.

While Kate was at school it gave me a chance to get Miles into the Dr for his 12 month check up.

The doctor said he looked great!

Weight- 20 lbs 10 oz - 25%tile

Height- 31 in -95%tile

Head Circumference- 19 in -90%tile

Pickin' Apples

Labor day morning the weather was about 72 degrees with a breeze and not a cloud in the sky, so Jon and I knew we just had to do something outside that day. We got on the internet and found a pick your own farm that was only about a 30 min drive from us so we loaded the kids up and went to pick some apples. Kaitlyn loved it except for the bugs, (they are an organic farm so since there is no pesticide, that means there are more buggies around). We had the best time, the apples were only .75 per pound so we ended up with 20 lbs of apples for only $16!! Needless to say we have plenty of apples now. That night when we got home we decided to make an apple pie with them, Kate helped and it was the best apple pie I have ever eaten!
